You are correct.

However, as the post clearly states, this is part of a background.... and this is a real question someone asked.

It has been my experience that people who are unfamiliar with the underlying principles of science have difficulties effectively assessing what is and is not reasonable when people hurl studies and assertions at them. Which is why I am going into a bit of background....

More will be coming. Interspersed with other posts, but will be coming.

I think you're missing the point of global warming--no one (well, at least, no one with even the slightest idea about what they're talking about) says that CO2 is going to kill plants via suffocation. Rather, the focus is more on the indirect effects of increased CO2 levels in the atmosphere, such as a rising global temperature, which has a variety of unpleasant projected consequences. Indeed, while you are correct in saying that increased CO2 levels can help spur plant growth (as a side note, there's a study being done at Duke right now to collect more data on the subject), that doesn't necessarily make increased CO2 levels a "good thing."

Finally, I'm still waiting on that data disproving global warming you've been mentioning.
