What is more:

The UN has officially adopted 2 very different ‘human rights’ declarations/standards. The one we are familiar with – for most of the world. However, there is a completely different one for the ‘Muslim Nations’…the UN has actually accepted that for ‘Muslim Nations’, all ‘human rights’ will derive directly from Sharia – and nothing else!

Yes, I am paraphrasing here, but that does not make the meaning any less true!

Interesting, isn’t it, that Iran is chairing the Durban II conference on human rights. Good job our government has had the guts to boycott it. There are a lot more UN conferences that we should boycott!

Perhaps much is revealed by the language used by those who would opress others in order to assert uniformity of thought: the Yemeni officials are using almost identical words as the HRC officials are in Canada (after translation…) in order to justify their actions in limiting freedom of speech, freedom of expression and – very much so – the freedom to think!

This is the same breed of opressor: different shade, different penalties (for now – that can change), but same evil.

Xan; we have “officials” here in the social planning clique who are totally aligned with this level of authoritarianism. Personally I think they should be outted and stand public ostraciztion. If they have attempted to legislate this type of uncivil totality, they should stand indictment.
