I hate to say it, but no, they aren’t. The truth is much worse than that. They are really this cowed.

Most of them aren’t fooled at all. They know the government is lying to them – stealing from them – enslaving them.

And they accept it.

When I speak to people about things like freedom and dignity, they look at me forlornly and bleat,

Master doesn’t treat me very well, but how would I eat if Master didn’t feed me?

And yes, you can hear the captialization in their voices when they speak of their masters.

It’s so sad…
