A father’s asks for prayers for his son

Even though we form a virtual community, the people whom it is made up of are real, genuine, flesh-and-blood individuals.  For better or worse, we all have our pleasures and troubles.

This is a touching story from one member of our virtual community, whose son is about to undergo a difficult cancer surgery.  He only asks that we keep his son in our thoughts or prayers.

I cannot pray.  But, I assure you, David ben Yaacov will be in my thoughts!

David, I wish you all the best!

P.S. If you would like to send a card, please send it to David at the Second Draft PO Box 590591, Newton Centre, MA 02459.  The family is not asking for money, just the support of positive thoughts and prayers!

    X,
I am just dropping by to thank you for your support. Dave is doing quite well- He is actually in school (half day today- we’ll see how it goes…) I know that all the prayers and concern have helped. I showed him print-outs of the web traffic about him when he came out of the recovery room and he asked me to make sure I thanked everyone that I could.
Very good blog, BTW, I liked your comment on The Bnai Brith Canada brief (say that five times fast.) I think you’re right on target.
    With Gratitude,
    YBM

Thank you, YBM, for your kind words.

One thing we humans do is form communities. We may be worlds apart – physically, yet we are all a part of an online community.

And it is not fair for any ‘little one’ to suffer…. I have been thinking of David and how his recovery is going – sometimes, ‘being brave’ is forced on them before we, the parents, would like. Good luck to him!

Your blog, if I may be honest, has provoked many a chain of thoughts in me. Thank you.
