Plus a bit of commentary:
When asked by a young man if he should seek to marry, Socrates answered him:
“By all means marry: if you get a good wife, you will be happy; if you get a bad one, you will become a philosopher.”
The Oracle of Delphi called Socrates 'the wisest man' because he said:
"I know I know nothing!"
Of course, he only knew this because his wife, Xanthippe, told him so.
Every day!

Xanthippa:
This is what happens when the intersubjective rationality promulgated by cultural Marxism is confronted by objective reasoning.
For the intersubjective thinker (Affleck), what he thinks is determined by how he feels, and how he feels is determined by the collective.
For the objective thinker (Maher), how he feels is determined by what he thinks, and what he thinks is determined by the known facts.
They literally can’t hear each other, because what is crucial information to one, is irrelevant noise to the other.
Intersubjective rationality is what makes progressives like Affleck into “useful idiots” and enables them drive the left-wing herd for the globalists.
Now, Maher is absolutely right about the existential threat posed by Islam. But there is a deeper layer to all this, and Maher is just driving a different part of the herd.
The larger plan is to fan the flames of Fundamentalist Christianity, Radical Islam, and Zionism, and goad them into destroying each other.
If this plan succeeds, all that will be left standing is the secular collectivist worship of the great mother, with the global totalitarian state as her earthly representative.
And who benefits? The globalist plutocracy.
Viewed in this light, all the propaganda makes perfect sense – left and right, religious and secular. All the apparently self-contradictory domestic and foreign policy moves make perfect sense – American and Russian, European and Muslim.
It all makes perfect sense, expressed in pounds, shillings and pence.

Sorry it took me so long to post your comment – have been a little under the weather and off-line…. I am still typing left-handed only.
If only our medicare were 1/2 as good as our vet care – which it never will be, as veterinary medicine is private…
I hope that they will make euthanasia legal in Canada – if we are denied pain-relieving medical treatment, at least we should be permitted a pain-relieving death. They ought to do it for the children – I cannot describe how badly watching me in this pain is affecting my younger son…

That may be somebody’s plan (the religious war leading to the triumph of secular humanism) but what happens if resurgent Zionist-evangelical Christian forces prevail and wipe out the more aggressive strains of Islam?
Given that the fight against ISIS boils down to superpower military assets vs 10,000 fanatics in pick-up trucks with scattered bits of hijacked military equipment, it would seem that God is on the side of the organized batallions.
Even if Comrade Obama does give the wrong orders, people on the ground will figure out how to ignore them and win anyway. Plus he only has a few months or years left, depending on how quickly the Constitution is enforced.
And then there is Harper, the modern Mussolini, lurking in the wings (or so I am informed). This must strike terror into the hearts of all Abyss-outians.
