When asked by a young man if he should seek to marry, Socrates answered him:
“By all means marry: if you get a good wife, you will be happy; if you get a bad one, you will become a philosopher.”
The Oracle of Delphi called Socrates 'the wisest man' because he said:
"I know I know nothing!"
Of course, he only knew this because his wife, Xanthippe, told him so.
Every day!

This is awful. Europe is a sitting duck for terrorist attacks because of profound American policy failures.

I would blame profound European policy failures more than American ones…. Sure, they have a role, but not everything is about US politics, nor should we pretend it is. There is enough blame to go around…

Im not saying Europe is 100% innocent but it is the United States that is bombing these countries, starting wars, interfering with their politics and destabilizing the region. All so we can maintain our trillion dollar military industrial complex.
ISIS is using our own weapons and vehicles to kill innocent people. Im ashamed to be American.

Just because your current government is shit is not a good enough reason to be ashamed of your nationality or of American exceptionalism.
You ARE the heirs of Thomas Payne and Thomas Jefferson – and that is something to be proud of, no matter the current downfall.
Your Constitution is a brilliant document worth being proud of, worth defending and fighting for.
Never give up, never surrender!!!

American exceptionalism is bullshit. It’s just another excuse for our trillion dollar military empire to bomb more countries. Because we need to spend our tax dollars and our lives to impose our values on other countries. We need to rig other countries’ elections while our own democracy and republic is dysfunctional.
Thomas Jefferson is dead. All we have left are Bush, Obama, Hillary and Trump.
We need to be exceptional, but at the same time we need be a humble giant too.
I hope someday people wake up.

American exceptionalism does not lie in its military power but in its constitution, which puts the citizen into the position of power.
And it is the civic duty of each and every new generation of Americans to keep Thomas Jefferson alive!

juggernaut:
America and Europe – indeed, all of Western civilization – are equally the victims of the globalist plutocrats and their running dogs, the cultural Marxists.
If you are ashamed to be American, you have bought their bullshit.
They want you to be ashamed to be American for the same reason they want to destroy the national pride of all the individual nations of Europe:
These sentiments stand in the way of their coveted secular Edenist collectivist totalitarian global plutocracy.

juggernaut:
Yes, yes, war is a racket, as General Smedley Butler so eloquently told us.
But would you really be more comfortable if the US did NOT have the most powerful military in the world?
If not the US, then whom would you trust to be in that position?
