Obama’s big act of “transparency” was having U.S. spending put on the internet, but that in itself was a sham. For his $800 billion stimulus package, yes it does post the general spending. $71 billion goes to X, $42 billion goes to Y, $20 billion goes to Z, but there’s no real transparency because the specifics were never posted. If the government is purchasing $200 hammers and $800 toilet seats, we will never know.
