I don’t think there is ever a case where one person runs a country, especially in an authoritarian regime.
I highly suspect the party will run NK, as they likely always have, but to a greater extent now.
I’m not expecting Un to be Gorbachev. Rather I am expecting Un to conduct an even more aggressive military policy to create a strong showing throughout the transition of power.
There will certainly be a vacuum in absence of ll. Call him crazy, but he played his hand brilliantly and become a successful leader. He’s much more intelligent and adroit than we give him credit for. Un on the other hand, regardless of lineage, will not be taken seriously.
China is the big factor here, as they’ve been lying to the west the whole time about this transition of power.
