When asked by a young man if he should seek to marry, Socrates answered him:
“By all means marry: if you get a good wife, you will be happy; if you get a bad one, you will become a philosopher.”
The Oracle of Delphi called Socrates 'the wisest man' because he said:
"I know I know nothing!"
Of course, he only knew this because his wife, Xanthippe, told him so.

To borrow a phrase from America, “Throw the bums out” — out of office, out of power, and out of your country. *All* the bums. Give each of them a new suit of the clean white clothes suitable for a pilgrim, and about 100 pounds for the necessary bribes, and an exit visa — but no passport — and send them to the one place on Earth where all good Muslims wish to go at least once in their lives: Mecca. Send them there, leave them there, and take all precautions to keep them from ever coming back. Let them become the Saudis’ problem.
