A political protest against ISIS was held in Toronto, by PEGIDA CANADA in conjunction with RISE CANADA.
A group of counter-protesters turned from loud to threatening violence – so, the police shut the event down.
Yes – those threatening violence were shut down, much to the cheers of the crowd threatening violence against peaceful and orderly demonstrators, some even calling for police to shoot the protesters.
It is important to note that the PEGIDA CANADA and RISE CANADA were peaceful and lawfully exercising their constitutional right to freedom of speech.
The police gave in to the loud and potentially violent crowd and prevented the lawful group from exercising their constitutional rights,
The role of the police is to ensure that all citizens can – are truly able to – exercise their constitutionally guaranteed fights and freedoms. In this particular case, the only lawful conduct for the police would have been to hold back the loud crowd that was threatening violence and, should anyone escalate to actual violence, to arrest that lawbreaker.
Instead, the police chose to side with violent thugs and penalize the lawful, peaceful citizens for something a different group had done and threatened to do.
This is not right – this is so very not right!

Today, many of us Canadians celebrate ‘Family Day’. As I look around my living room, seeing my husband and growing sons, I cannot but worry about the future of our society.
Last October 7th, my younger son was, as a co-op student, working just a few short blocks from the War Memorial. When the terrorist attack occurred, I could not but rush to his side and managed to get in to his building moments before the lockdown was imposed.
I mention this to illustrate that for me, the prospect of my family being endangered by a Jihadi attack is not a theoretical one…
Of all the Western leaders, You, Mr. Harper, are handling the Jihadi threat the best, providing our law enforcement people the laws they need to use as tools in order to protect Canadian citizens, while providing judicial oversight in order to protect our civil liberties, in a true libertarian fashion. And that is most excellent!
However, in order to apply those laws effectively, our law enforcement people need another very important tool: it is time to accurately label terrorist organizations as such.
The Muslim Brotherhood is already labelled as a terrorist organization in many countries and Canada would be wise to join them. But, The Muslim Brotherhood has many front organizations, identified as such in documents including Explanatory Memorandum , published by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Among these Muslim Brotherhood affiliates are many organizations that have infiltrated Canadian institutions. Perhaps one of the most intensely destructive of these is the Muslim Student Association (MSA), which has chapters in most institutions of higher learning in Canada. For example, Awso Pesdary, recently arrested on terrorist charges in Ottawa, was active in the MSA at Algonquin College.
Pesdary may indeed be an outlier, but the truly subversive actions of the MSA are their everyday monitoring of students who happen to be Muslim or appear to have Muslim names and coercing them into attending religious services, which often contain very radical preachings. This social pressure on moderate students who just happen to be Muslim does not stop at just prayers: the MSA is actively discouraging Muslim students from forming meaningful social bonds with students outside the MSA. It is easy to see how this would negatively impact those Muslim students who wish to integrate into the great Canadian society, as the intimidation by the MSA bullies can be quite intense. In the end, all of our society looses when bright young Muslims are prevented from integrating and enriching our society.
Of course, MSA is not the only organization with strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. CAIR, as well as its fully owned Canadian subidiary, CAIR-Can (currently known as National Council of Canadian Muslims, NCCM), must also be on the list of terrorist organizations, as should be MAC (Muslim Association of Canada), MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council), II (Islamic Free Market Institute) and at many more, including (but not limited to) the following:
• Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)
• Muslim Student Association (MSA)
• The Muslim Communities Association (MCA)
• The Association of Muslim Social Scientists (AMSS)
• The Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers (AMSE)
• Islamic Medical Association (IMA)
• Islamic Teaching Center (ITC)
• North American Islamic Trust (NAIT)
• Foundation for International Development (FID)
• Islamic Housing Cooperative (IHC)
• Islamic Centers Division (ICD)
• American Trust Publications (ATP)
• Audio-Visual Center (AVC)
• Islamic Book Service (IBS)
• Muslim Businessmen Association (MBA)
• Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA)
• ISNA Fiqh Committee (IFC)
• ISNA Political Awareness Committee (IPAC)
• Islamic Education Department (IED)
• Muslim Arab Youth Association (MAYA)
• Malasian (sic) Islamic Study Group (MISG)
• Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP)
• United Association for Studies and Research (UASR)
• Occupied Land Fund (OLF)
• Mercy International Association (MIA)
• Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA)
• Baitul Mal Inc (BMI)
• International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT)
• Islamic Information Center (IIC)
Identifying them for what they are – outposts of Islamism within our great country – is essential if we want to protect all Canadians, Muslims and non-Muslims, from the coercive and corrosive influence of these front organizations for Islamic terrorism and if we want to give our law enforcement people the tools necessary to protect us and our families from future domestic terrorist attacks.
Please, Mr. Prime Minister, give our law enforcement people the tools they need to protect us by declaring Muslim Brotherhood and all its affiliates for what they are: terrorist organizations.
Food for thought…I have never, ever, in my life indulged in illegal drugs – not even marijuana.
Why?
Because as illegal substances, there is no way of knowing if they are adulterated with poison….
But, I do think that ‘drug laws’ are an abomination: they are an admission that we are the slaves of the State – if the State did not own our bodies, it would not have the jurisdiction to govern what we do or do not choose to put into them.
Now – aside from the ‘recreational’ drugs, there is another, to me, more important implication of drug prohibition and the related legislation: the only people who can legally ‘prescribe’ medication are people whom the government permits to do so.
And these are people educated in government controlled facilities, largely funded by drug manufacturers.
This is a glaring conflict of interest.
I am not saying that every MD out there is in the pockets of Big Pharma. Far from it. But, the education they receive is not well-rounded…and there is no other field that competes against the ideas – or, indeed, complements them.
No, I am not saying that homeopathy and such are credible – just that the only things that get research money for proper scientific examination are in a very, very narrow field.
Let me give you an example of what I mean: the ‘placebo effect’.
Currently, it is regarded as no more than a nuisance: patients think they are getting medicine and so get better…even in cases of legitimate disease that is not just a figment of the patient’s imagination. So, studies control for it in order to evaluate the efficacy of drugs.
But, turn this around: if there is a way to ‘trick’ the body into healing itself using no harsh chemicals – why are we not studying this in the most rigorous scientific manner possible? A cure with no side effects is nothing to sneeze at…
That is just one tiny little example.
Another one is from my own experience: I have some rather rare health issues which most likely stem from having spent the first 13 years of my life 7 km downwind from a chemical plant in a socialist worker’s paradise (where the people who regulate the chemical plants – the government – are the same people who own them – the government – and there is no governing body over them to bring them into compliance with even the pitiful regulation they do have on the books….). So, some informed friends did some digging in the scientific literature and found a precedent for treatment of conditions like mine.
Awesome, right?
Wrong!
I cannot get that treatment, because it is ‘not common’ and, whole a whole slew of MD’s I brought it to believe it would likely make it possible for me to live again a semi-normal life (no longer bed-ridden and all that pain), they will not prescribe it because ‘it is unusual’ and ‘prescribing it might make the OHIP – the government bureaucracy that oversees the MDs – suspicious enough to audit the MD who prescribed it, which would be too much of a bother….much better not to help me return to being a productive member of our society…
So – when we talk about drug prohibition, do keep in mind that we are not just prohibiting narcotics and halucinogens – we are prohibiting people from accessing legitimate medication needed for the treatment of real-life medical problems!
Because, like it or not, if I were to go out and seek health-restoring medications for myself, I could end up in jail for life on an ‘illegal drug’ conviction.
Not all drugs are ‘recreational’….but they are all equally illegal!
And that does not even scratch the surface of incentivizing police forces to focus on drug busts and the accompanying property forfeiture instead on preventing property and violent crime…
Today the Calgary Police Service charged three pro-Hamas rioters with assault, and are seeking a fourth suspect.
You’ll remember that disgraceful riot – on July 18th, right outside Calgary’s City Hall, a mob of pro-Palestinian thugs beat up an entire Canadian family while shouting “death to the Jews”.
That was bad enough. But even worse, Calgary’s police were nowhere to be seen. This was right downtown – right outside City Hall. But the police just weren’t there.
For that one moment, it was more like Gaza than Canada – mob rule, not the rule of law.
Calgary’s civic leaders let us down – both the police chief and the mayor downplayed the incident, refusing to call it a riot, and being willfully blind to the anti-Semitic nature of the violence.
So you and I stepped in to fill the gap.
We set up a petition, where literally thousands of Calgarians and other Canadians demanded criminal charges, and a clear denunciation of the riots. It was the largest petition ever received by the Calgary Police Commission.
We raised funds online to hire a lawyer for the riot victims, to help them navigate the police bureaucracy.
We held a massive pro-Canada, pro-Israel, pro-freedom rally on the steps of City Hall – proving that pro-Hamas thugs don’t control the city’s streets.
And, when criminal charges still had not come after two full weeks, we set up a website called www.RiotStoppers.com — based on the Crime Stoppers model. We showed pictures and video of six rioters and offered a $500 reward to anyone who could give us information about their identity.
Within half a day, we received quality tips on four of the suspects that we immediately passed on to police. But we did not make this news public, so as not to tip off the suspects and interfere with the police investigation.
Well, three charges were laid today, and a fourth is expected as soon as tomorrow.
We will continue to hunt for more suspects on our website.
But this is a major step forward in bringing these violent rioters to justice.
I should mention that the two street cops on this file have been exemplary. I’m talking about police who spend their time fighting crime, not playing politics like the chief. They have taken a meticulous approach, and were closing in on these suspects even before we sent in our tips. Our tips merely came from someone sleuthing the Internet – something the police obviously did too.
I’m sure they would have got these suspects. But I’m equally sure that the public message sent by our rally, our petition and us finding the suspect ourselves added positive pressure to the police chief to do the right thing this time – and not sweep this all under the carpet.
So thank you: to Calgary’s finest, for laying the charges. And to Canada’s finest: you, the viewers of the Sun News Network, who have signed the petitions, raised the funds for these projects, and smoked out four of the suspects.
Here’s my special edition of the Source that I taped tonight right after the police laid the charges. And please visit www.RiotStoppers.com. The police haven’t found everyone yet – let’s give them a hand.
