Who is Raif Badawi?
Raif Badawi, who blogged at ‘Free Saudi Liberals’ first rose to international prominence in June 2012 when he was arrested in his native Saudi Arabia under Cyber crime laws, for insulting Islam through electronic channels. Later that year, apostasy was added to the charges against him. If convicted, he could have faced the death penalty.
Following years of legal battles and international pressure, the final sentence Raif Badawi received is 10 years in jail, 1,000 lashes and a fine equivalent t $267,000. His lawyer, Waleed Abdulkhair was sentenced to 15 years in jail for ‘undermining the authorities’…
After 50 of these lashed had been administered early in 2015 in front of a Jeddah mosque and hundreds of spectators, many people from all over the world had stepped up and offered to suffer a portion of Badawi’s lashes on his behalf. Instead, the Saudi government announced that the rest of the lashing shall be postponed due to Badawi’s poor health condition.
Last week, Raif Badawi made news again for having been awarded the prestigious EU Sakharov prize for human rights – the latest one of the many international prizes for writing, human rights and bravery that he has already been honoured with.
Raif Badawi’s wife, Ensaf Haidar, who lives with their three daughters in Canada since having received political asylum here in 2013, had been notified that the lashing will resume.
It is unthinkable that in today’s modern world, a young man should be beaten to death by his government simply for speaking as a sovereign human being.
Let’s all come out and show our support for Raif Badawi and to protest the barbarity that is Sharia!!!
Here is a clip from Czech Independent TV that I translated:

Here is another, VERY important news item from CNtv (which I had translated – so blame all errors on me, please!)
It describes the plight of a Czech PM, member of a minority party ‘Usvit’ – member of the anti-Islamisation coalition – after he spoke at a PEGIDA ralley in Dresden.
HERE IS THE VIDEO (sorry, cannot seem to embed).
Following his speech, as he was heading to his bus, the Czech MP was assaulted by some sort of spray that had blinded him. As he was blinded, he had bent over – just as he had been struck by a paving stone hurled from a bridge above… Had he not been doubled-over in agony over his loss of sight, the paving stone would have struck him in the head (instead of his back) and caused a very serious, potentially life-threatening injury…
What kind of a world are we living in if people – even elected officials – are threatened with death should they speak to the people?!?!?
I want to get off this planet…but how?
Here is an article in a Czech ‘Parliament sheets’ publication that a couple friends forwarded me, wondering if it is worth translating.
Hell yes!
Here is the full translation (by me – so, for errors or inaccuracies, you know whom to blame!).

Description: President Milos Zeman and Mayor of the Zlin region, Stanislav Misak.
President Milos Zeman, while visiting the Zlin region, reacted to the accusation that he is an inslamophobe. He is apparently surprised, because he himself does not know what that “islamophobia” actually is. “The term islamophobia has never been properly defined. I speak against Islamic radicalism,” he explained during a visit to the company Kovarna Viva in Zlin.
“So, for the authors of this information, I have just one wish: that somebody will not cut their heads off [while they are] alive,” the President ended his speech.
This was a reaction to the assertion, which was found in a report if the Commission of the Council of Europe. The full name of this [organization] is European Commission Against Racism and Intolerance and, on Wednesday, it released a report sharply critical of Czech politicians.
“ECRI was informed by numerous sources that political expressions of intolerance are not rare features, especially in times near elections. The most common targets are the Roma and immigrants, lately, however, Muslims have become vicims of increased Islamophobia,” is, among other things, written in the report.
As the largest Islamophobes in the Czech political arena, the report named Tomio Okamura and also President Milos Zeman. Regarding them, the commission raised its eyebrows over some of their statements, including some older ones. “Even the President himself is considered to be an open holder of anti-Islamic views; in the year 2011, reportedly in an interview with a magazine, he stated that ‘moderate Muslim’ is contradicto in adjecto, or a self-contradiction, in the same way as ‘moderate Nazi’ is a contradicto in adjecto,” is an example of what is written in the report.
“He also declared that Islam is not a religion of peace and much less so of tolerance, but a religion of hatred”, is written in the report. The report was brought to attention in Czech mainly by a non-profit organization ‘Clovek v tisni [People in Need]’.

About a decade ago, I watched an eye-opening documentary (on the internet, of course), mad by a courageous young Czech man who went into a mosque located in Prague, Czech Republic’s capital, and documented what he had experienced there, what was being preached there, how women (including his girlfriend, who attended the mosque with him) were treated.
It was, to say the least, Earth-shattering!!!
OK – for those who blame ‘Western Imperialists’ for any Islamic backlash, please, let it be known that Czechs had NEVER EVER been part of any ‘ Western imperialism’ or any kind of European ‘imperialism’ at all.
Not even a little bit.
And when it came to the crusades – a few were launched against the Czechs themselves, as we had kicked off the Protestant movement 100 (or so) years ahead of Martin Luther – who was an ardent (though post-humous) disciple of the Czech cleric Jan Hus.
It is also worth a mention that, during the times of religious civil wars in Europe, many Czech Protestant nobles sought an alliance with Muslims against the hated Catholics – only to learn, at great cost of life and blood, that Muslims do not regard treaties with non-Muslims as binding…
While this may be lost on the ‘average’ Western citizen, this is well imprinted on the Czech psyche, from childhood stories on to true history that had been taught in schools (before political correctness, circa 2003, re-wrote the textbooks).
Did I mention that in Czech religious wars, women have traditionally been seen as acting equally to their male counterparts? Perhaps this is more myth than history, but, tradition has it that in the Hussite wars, women were warriors equal to men. This, too, is part of the Czech psyche!
Now that the background had been, very roughly, sketched, in comes this documentary.
A young man and his girlfriend try to attend a mosque in Prague, called the ‘Black Bridge’ Mosque.
Of course, right at the beginning, they are separated.
And then come the teachings….
Soon after I saw the documentary, I could no longer find it: it was taken down from the source through which I had found it and it seemed that Google (as well as every other search engine I could think of) had never heard of it.
Well – colour me surprised when I came across this interview: with the author of the documentary – 10 years after having made it!!!
Without much ado – and before it, too, disappears – here is the interview (note – I did not do the translation and consider it to be somewhat ‘muted down’):
Just some of the multicultural enrichments brought to Germany by the flood of migrants.
CNTV (Czech Independent TV) had, yesterday, read an email on air that they identified as coming from a retired Czech anaesthesiologist who had moved to Munich to work at a hospital there.
In this email, she describes the conditions under which Munich – and other German – hospitals, urgent care clinics and pharmacies are forced to operate….and why police patrols with K-9 units are necessary.
Translation notice: I translated this segment from a larger program and, in the introduction, the announcer mentions Octoberfest…this is because in the intro, he announces two letters, this email which I have translated, and the letter that was sent, supposedly from a German Muslim, to the Munich government trying to get Octoberfest banned as un-Islamic and offensive to Muslims. As this letter has widely been published elsewhere over the last few weeks, I did not translate it. Yet, the mention of ‘Octoberfest’ in the intro and the not in the story has lead some to question my translation. My apologies – I translated only the first one of the two letters introduced.
As far as I can tell, I cannot embed LiveLeak videos into WordPress, so, please, follow the link below:
In the meantime, Polish media is as guilty of misleading reports about this protest as our Western Corporate media are. I just wish WordPress could embed LiveLeak videos (or that I figured out how – if you know, please, tell me!!!)
Thus, the best I can do is include the links.

As always – ask yourself why do you have to go to a blog to learn this information?
Translation is by yours truly.

This is unfortunate, but true:
Lately, I have neglected this blog – and, I do apologize. However, I have been doing a lot of translating of various clips from Czech (and other Slavic/EasternEuropean lands) regarding the migrants and the domestic reaction to them.
It is difficult to understate the situation: even those who have initially welcomed the migrants in the name of humanity and helping each other have become jaded, beaten down by the migrants’ arrogance, entitlement and disregard for any considerations for the indigenous populations’ welfare.
Did I mention the violence, rapes and property theft? You see, Sharia states that only Muslims have property rights, so taking the property of non-Muslims is not theft and is perfectly moral…
Just a tiny example: migrants arrive in a town in the evening, receive donations of blankets and warm clothing and, the next morning, as the temperatures warm up, they toss away the blankets and warm clothing into ditches along their path,as they wish to ‘travel light’, adding toward the rubbish they leave along their path – and then demand blankets and warm clothing at the next town they arrive at in the evening…
It is difficult to understate just how close Europe is towards a civil war!
